Kindergarten children dressed as angels presented a dance with Santa Claus.A group of teachers sang Christmas carols. A play on the birth of Christ was the highlight of the Christmas celebration.The Principal, delivered the Christmas message at the event.
Children's Day Celebrations-14.11.2016
It was a fun-filled day for students. The programme began with prayer, dance and tributes to Chacha Nehru. Various activities and events were organized and performed by teachers. The day had the theme of love. Programmes included informative play, enactment and songs.
Diwali Celebrations 09.11.2016
The celebration of Diwali ,'The festival of lights' came alive on the 9 th of November when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors and the assembly hall in bright colours. The rangoli done by students the previous day added the perfect setting to the festivity. The Principal lit the lamp to begin the assembly on the auspicious occasion. The song 'Diwali Aayee' brought out the essence of the festival -celebration of life and goodness. Students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through a mesmerising dance performance. The assembly concluded with Principal Ma'am giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.
UN Day 24.10.2016
San Academy, Pallikaranai observed the United Nations Day on 24th October at the School premises. The programme started of with the Flag march of the permanent member countries of the  security council being China, Russia, UK, USA and France. India being a member country which strongly believes in non violence blends with the objectives of the UN which strives always for ‘World Peace’. The students took pride in highlighting the fact that our external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj attended the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in New york. The speeches given by students of Class VIII highlighted on the importance of UN as an organization and its objectives being promotion of Human rights, Social progress and World Peace. The School also organized Poster Making and slogan writing competitions on the theme “Goals of U.N.O.”.
German Day 1.10.2016

Learning a foreign language in India is the present day (contemporary) trend for School – going children. This, not only expedites their comprehensive skills, also it does enhances the multifunctionality of one’s brain resulting in significant accomplishments.
SAN Academy, Pallikaranai celebrated its ‘German Fest’ on October 04, 2016 where the students engaged themselves in numerous activities assorted with German aura in all its sense and sensibility.
With interim informative speeches , the program ran flawless revealing German culture in all its facets through the DACH region. The primary SAN stars were highly thrilled to sing and swing their way with German rhymes followed by the middle school paying a tribute to “The story of the Trapp Family Singers” set in Austria , shaking their steps to the tunes of “The Sound of Music” musical.
The ethos of the show spiked every moment with the confidence shown by the performers and imbibed a dense conviction with the audience. The fest resolved with an encomium that enchoed the essence of German language to its peak! The day ended with children bringing German food cuisines and enjoyed the feast which was truly memorable.

Sanskrit Day & Navratri Day 05.10.2016

Sanskrit Diwas is celebrated to mark the importance of Sanskrit language, the mother of all Indian languages and the first among the ancient languages spoken in India. Sanskrit Diwas is annually observed on the Shravana Purnima day as per Hindu lunar calendar. Sanskrit Diwas is also known as Sanskrit Day.

Sanskrit department celebrated Sanskrit Day. The programme commenced with the ceremonious lighting of lamp followed by Ganesha Nrutyam by class VIII students. The VI graders enthralled the audience through their “Aditya Hrudayam” dance performance and they proclaimed the importance of Sanskrit language . The video clippings to show that Sanskrit is no longer a dead language is the other highlights of the day. The occasion provided the students an insight into the rich culture and heritage of our country and made them acknowledge the literary contribution made by the great scholars of ancient India.

Math Day - 30.09.2016

Math has become an integral part of our lives whether we work in an office or spend most of our time at home. San academy, Pallikaranai observed the “Math day” on 30th September at the School premises. The day’s events highlighted on the vital role played by Mathematics in contemporary times. The students delivered an informative speech about how although being an abstract and theoretical knowledge , it still emerges from the real world. Maths is everywhere , be it school curriculum or fine arts. This concept was presented with a foot tapping song and dance sequence. The amazing Fibonacci sequence and its role played in describing a variety of phenomena in Mathematics and Science , art and nature was also demonstrated by the students.
Dr.Sujatha, the Principal spoke about the significant benefits of Maths in helping children and youg people to understand the value and the power of numbers , she also highlighted on the need to equip the young minds with skills to contribute effectively in the world of work and more importantly to exercise greater control over their own lives.

Teacher's Day Celebrations
All the students of our school took this opportunity to tell the teacher how much they love and respect them. They gave cards and bouquets to their favourite teachers. Students went home satisfied that we have made our teachers happy on the occasion of Teachers Day.
Ganesh Chathurthi Celebrations
Krishna Jeyanthi and Onam Celebrations
Kindergarten kids of San Academy, Pallikaranai celebrated Krishna Jayanthi with great pomp and show. It was a day full of festivities. All the children came dressed up as Radha’s and Krishna’s . Jr.K.G. children presented a skit highlighting the life history of Lord Krishna. They enacted Krishna’s birth, the pranks he played as a child, his victory over Kalinga and his immense love for Radha and Gopika’s . Sr.K.G. children danced on the melodious Krishna song which was a treat to everyone’s eyes. Educating the value of mythology is an important part of Education to the children especially in the modern world of machines. In order to inculcate awareness of diverse culture and tradition of other states , Onam was celebrated with garity and fervour at San Academy. The day began with “Poo kolam” competition amongst the Sr.K.G. / Jr.K.G./Nursery classes. Selected children came dressed as King Mahabali. Powerpoint presentation highlighting on the importance of Onam, Onakalikal, Vallamkai, elephant procession, boat races were shown to the children.
Social Science Day - 31.08.2016
The words “Social Science” may conjure up images of Social workers or teachers, which is actually a gross misunderstanding of the range of roles available within the discipline, as well as the impact that it has on the wider world.
San Academy has celebrated “Social Science Day” on 31st August 2016. The celebration showcased a wide spectrum of programme ranging from an enlightening speech about various heritage sites in India to a graceful dance personifying the beauty of the same. The audience also had a chance to tap their toes to the reconstructed lyrics of famous number – “We are the world”.by Michael Jackson. A spot quiz triggered the  young minds who were bubbling with enthusiasm while providing the answers. The skit left the audience to ponder on the role to be played by every citizen towards preserving the heritage sites. The days celebrations continued into the classrooms as students eagerly displayed their artistic talents in various competitions that was held.
Dr.Sujatha, Principal highlighted how every community and Society has a very precious heritage which has to be and can be transferred to the next generation and that is the responsibility of the civil society to transfer the heritage ahead.
The celebration concluded with “Taking the Pledge” with an view to sensitize the youth who are the future generation and inculcate in them a healthy value system towards their own heritage.
Independence Day - 15.08.2016
San Academy celebrated Independence day with great enthusiasm at the School premises on  15th August , 2016. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief guest from           Tamilnadu Police department hoisted the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National anthem followed by the National song. The speech given by the students stirred the spirit of patriotism among everyone present . The classical dance performance by the students to the evergreen song “vandematarm” added more to the spirit of Unity in Diversity.
The Chief guest quoted Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam vision of India and motivated the audience to fulfill their fundamental duties. The Principal of the the School Dr. Sujatha expressed that it is important for today’s youth to develop a sense of commitment to one’s nation and protect the values as enshrined in our constitution.
Kindergarten kids of San Academy were caught in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated the day with great fervor. Melange of patriotic activities were presented which created an atmosphere of National pride . All the children were dressed up in tricolor clothes. Students of Jr.K.G. recited Thirukural and Sr.K.G. students came dressed up as various national leaders such as Bhagat Singh, Annie Besant … which was truly inspiring.
The day’s events ended with a humble goal to make India a better place to live and experience the Freedom, Peace and Unity bonding all of us together in a free India.
Tamil New Year Day - 13.04.2016

San Academy celebrated Tamil New Year Day on 13th April, 2016 in the School  premises. The celebration emphasizes that Tamil is one of the ancient language in India.
A plethora of performances by the students created awareness about the importance of speaking in Mother Tongue. The students mesmerized the audience with the comical skit. San Academy believes that an holistic development in various disciplines can provide a clarity in channelizing the skills. The breathtaking dance performance left the spectators in awe with their acrobatic skills, agility and rigorous leg movements.

Earth day -22.04.2016

San Academy Pallikaranai created a great deal of awareness in the young minds of students by observing the “Earth Day” year marked on 22nd of April every year. A skit was well portrayed with a massage to save mother earth where children highlighted the endangering of many species on earth and its impact that create ecological imbalance.
In view of the “Earth Day”- San Academy Pallikaranai took the initiative of collaboration with an NGO company “WOW” which undertakes recycling activity. The school requested its parents and students to bring old newspapers, cartons and books to be sold  and in turn pick ITC stationery products for their children. The school received overwhelming response where parents turned out in huge numbers. As a part of “Go Green” activity the school will also be celebrating the “Van Mahotsav” week in the month of June 2016

World Blood Donors day -14.06.2016

June 14th every year is observed as ‘World Blood Donor Day”. SAN Academy School- Pallikaranai raised an awareness programme where children learnt the rules of Blood Donation.
1. Only beyond the age of 18yrs blood can be donated.
2. At the time of donating blood the donor should be healthy and fit.
3. People who get drunk should not donate blood. 18 hours beyond they can donate blood.
4. Every six months a donor can donate blood , as fresh blood gets recycled in the body.
5. Apart from blood donation every citizen can donate other organs also, after his or her death.
In view of the above mentioned information a skit titled ‘Be a Hero’ was put up where a student meets with a road accident and the near and dear ones refuse to donate blood while an unknown stranger from nowhere volunteers to donate his blood. That was a heart warming rendition by the students who held placards saying ‘Donate Blood and Save Lives’ .
The Principal Dr.S.Sujatha also added that donating blood is ‘need of the hour’ by every citizen above the age of 18 yrs as so many road accidents occur beyond our control.

International Yoga day -21.06.2016

San Academy School, Pallikaranai , Chennai participated enthusiastically participated to our  Prime Minister’s call to celebrate ‘International Yoga Day’. Yoga helps students to inculcate values of Discipline, Success and Harmony. It is a method of uniting mind and body. The day events helped in developing a holistic approach to health and well being and also discover a sense of oneness. As a part of the day, several activities were lined up for the benefits of students. Students of primary classes had a wonderful opportunity to witness the demonstration of various ‘Asanas’ of yoga performed by our School ‘yoga guru’ Mr.Alwin .
The students of Std. VI to VIII participated in a yoga session organised by Isha Foundation. The volunteers from Isha foundation delivered yoga asanas to participants. The students were also given an insight about the advantages of yoga.

We at the San Academy pledge to adopt practices for a happier and healthier life style to enable us to contribute for the betterment of this world.
World Youth Skills Day -15.07.2016

Young people are poised with all the potential and energy to be our next generation of leaders, workers and parents. San Academy celebrated World Youth Skills Day, an initiative of the United Nations , on 15th July, 2016 in the School  premises. The celebration emphasizes that fostering the acquisition of Skills by youth will enhance their ability to make wide choices with regard to life and work and inturn empower them to gain access to various opportunities.

A plethora of performances by the students created awareness about the importance of technical and vocational education and training. The students mesmerized the audience with sleight of their hand in their magic tricks. The informative speech given by the students suggested that to solve the problem, we must first acknowledge that we have a problem. Today’s youth face a lot of challenges due to the competitive world which provides an hindrance to reach their full potential. San Academy believes that an holistic development in various disciplines can provide a clarity in channelizing the skills. The breathtaking dance performance left the spectators in awe with their acrobatic skills, agility and rigorous leg movements.
Science Day -15.07.2016

San Academy celebrated Science Day on July 27th to commemorate our former President  Late. Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and his countless contribution towards advancement of Science and Technology in Indian scenario.
We may call it a year of Science. Rapid developments are taking place in the field of Science and Technology. New discoveries and findings are brought out by Scientists all over the world. The Science day celebration in the School premises presented many creative ideas and talents as exhibits. The Science projects that were conducted in the School were Model making of birds & animals using clay, Exhibition of feather collection, Stencil drawing , Herbarium displays, essay writing , spray painting, flash card and collage making etc.,
All the activities held during the day served as a catalyst in igniting the scientific temperament in the students and bring out young Scientists from within the curious minds. Science day provided a platform for the students to exhibit new ideas and kindle the enquiry minds of the young children.
