Primary

San academy, Velachery, has programmed a diverse and specialized curriculum, which helps the child to develop critical thinking and problem solving. With the guidelines as prescribed by the CBSE the panel of experts prepare the curriculum.

An activity-based approach for teaching and a grading system for assessing the performance of children have been adopted. Grading is done with a view to improve the competency and skill of the child rather than detaining the child in the same class. Students are evaluated through formative and summative assessments.

Innovations are encouraged for an effective symbiotic relationship between teaching and learning to help students imbibe different perspectives within each subject area. Students become participants in learning, not merely securing a body of knowledge, so that their learning becomes linked to their life outside the school. The school is committed to learning through experiment, instead of learning being teacher driven. The teachers and students together construct knowledge, so as to enrich from this creative experience. This is also supported by field experience, so that each student can use the acquired knowledge to create an unforgettable experience of fun, joy and learning.

Our aim is to make our students independent, lifelong learners, excelling academically and growing up as healthy and responsible citizens, ready to occupy the pinnacles of success.
