Sports Day

Just as books are to the mind and music is to the soul, it’s undeniable that fitness is to the body. We at San Academy have patronised sports and games since our inception as we understand the value and significance it has on the young minds and their physical well-being. In view of the same, we strive with all our integrated efforts in organizing our Sports day every year with much pomp and splendour. This year we commemorated our 9th Annual Sports day on the 30th of July 2017 at the YMCA grounds nandanam, Chennai.
The dawn of the 30th of July 2017 saw the junior KG classes commence in all awe the sports day with their colourful, vivid and vibrant display of events under the theme “Fabulous Fables”. A theme, quite pertinent to their young formative years. The following events saw the petite little ones scramble, jostle and scuttle to the line of victory with triumphant smiles and a feeling of jubilation written all over their innocent little faces. The renowned national level athletic champion Ms. Saralya P. Narayanan graced the occasion with her august presence and honoured us by accepting our invite to preside over as the chief guest for the occasion.
The afternoon paved way for the older children who seized the ground in all excitement for their specially themed compilation of events that were designed keeping in mind their thirst for adventure & exploration. “Fun and Adventure games” was the theme rolled out for the senior children. Every game played that afternoon was uniquely designed and meticulously planned to gratify every child’s craving and yearning to perform, excel and succeed.
The fun and adventure games that followed were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and the children. Those who emerged victorious on this day were hailed and applauded by all present at the venue. The chief guests for the occasion were Mr. George Abraham, respected principal of the YMCA College of physical education and Mr. Surendraraja, the celebrated and prominent player of the Indian National Kabaddi team who graciously accepted our invite and presided over the function and gave away the prizes to the champions of the day.
