Kindergarten is an important time to build a basic foundation for learning and enjoying school. At san, the focus is on the child's personal growth, interest and independence. The first day of school is always exciting and overwhelming for both students and teachers.

The day began with a warm welcome with their favourite toys in the decorated classrooms. Fun-filled activities such as sponge squeezing, palm print, shapes corner and Hoola hoop jumps made the day more colourful.

They enjoyed colouring and pasting the beautiful handmade first-day take-home gift, chikkies were distributed. This adorable first-day activity for the tiny tots was unique and memorable.

Colour Party day-09.04.2019 -Jr.Kg

A little splash of colour can brighten up the day and when it’s colour party day in the kindergarten, the day is truly kaleidoscopic. Each colour is so unique and special in making the world, we live in so beautiful, just like each kid in our world.

The Colour day was celebrated with fun and enthusiasm. All the tiny tots and teachers were dressed in colourful attires. The classrooms too were decorated with colours to welcome the day. There were various activities which were amazing and excellent room for kids to have a fun way of learning colours. They sang rhymes related to colours. Cleanliness drive in campus -10.04.2019 - Sr.Kg

Cleanliness plays a vital role in our daily lives. A clean and healthy life helps in refining the culture of a society and reflects in every aspect of our life. By adopting it, in our young kids, the drive was amazing.

They began by kids cleaning the classroom and segregated the waste into different garbage bin allotted for organic, e-waste and metal waste.

Kids enjoyed digging the soil and disposing of the kitchen waste as it can be converted into a highly organic nutrient for the soil

The 3 R’s, Reduce, Recycle and Reuse of waste helps the environment video made the day unique. The drive would have transformed the face of our nation in future.

Tamil New year-12.04.2019 -Kindergarten

April is the fruitful month and the season of spring in the year. The month which enhances the beauty of nature and shows the comfort of the upcoming new year.

The campus was filled with Tamil ethnic kids’ wear, which was a treat for everyone’s eyes. The traditional folk dance of Tamil Nadu such as gummi, kolattam and oyilattam were showcased. It added the beauty for the celebration.

Kids recited the Aathichudi verses and Thirukurral as it emphasizes the moral values and teaches the language this made, at the start of the new school year, the physical and mental health along with righteous path was implemented in a young heart.

Nursery-First Day of school-10.06.2019

Kindergarten combines a multitude of teaching methods and instructional designs. At San Academy, kindergarten method of teaching is nurturing and supportive rather than competitive. Tiny tots learn through fun and engaging activities. The first day is overwhelming for the kids and parents as they prepare their kids for the different stages of life.

The tiny tots of the nursery were welcomed with puppets. They explored the four corners of the classroom with toys and puzzles. They enjoyed the indoor game which boosted their energy level

The photo corner made the day a memorable one as the kids enjoyed taking a snapshot with their parents. It was a fun-filled day for the kids.

Nursery-Father’s Day-17.06.2019

“A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt"

At San Academy, Father’s Day was celebrated with heart-warming expressions to reach out to make all fathers feel special. The day began with a splendid parade by the fathers with their kids. The sense of pride was articulated in the air as tiny tots held their father’s hand.

Fulfilled games were specially set up for the father-child duo dad’s carried their kids on their back to reach the final point. It was an insightful feeling showing the dads are always there to hold you and have faith even when you fall.

The next game was a puzzling mix where dad found the hidden picture by sorting the puzzle with the help of their child.

The sack race was meant for dads. The enthusiasm was electrified as the contestants made a keen pitch. The minute to win it, the game was a bonanza of the day, as each father were eager to complete within a minute.

Alas, the winners took the gifts from the principal. The day fostered the importance of father-child relationships and family values

3. Jr. Kg-School Tour day-18.06.19

Kindergarten like a mystery! San took advantage of it by the school tour into a treasure hunt. Teachers explained various treasures, nothing but the school supply that every student requires for completion of a successful year such as books, toys, computer, discipline. The goal tiny tots had is to find the treasure

They explored each corner and enjoyed finding the treasures in the library, computer lab, and principal’s room playground. The treasure hunt game proved fun-filled learning to the kids to know the different sections of the school.

4. Sr.Kg -Best out of waste-19.06.19

Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to an extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way.

San Academy plays a significant role in nurturing the value of environmental protection and conservation among young minds through creative craft activities.

The kids presented themselves with adorable costumes made out of waste products. paper frock, CD shirts, jute attire stole the viewer’s heart. The day was an eye-opener to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.

Sr.Kg-International Yoga Day-21.06.2019

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment, harmony between man and nature.

San Academy knows the importance off yoga and adapting it, thus creating a meaningful transition for kids as they are engaged in various school activities.

The tiny tots started the day with warm up exercises, demonstrated various asanas also the importance of these were explained simultaneously.

Surya Namaskar enriched the kids in their mind and soul. The celebration concluded with the synchronized recitation of omkar chanting. Eventually, practising of yoga every day helps us to discover the sense of oneness with ourself, the world and nature.

Let’s celebrate laughter with as much gusto as possible, to ensure our children learn the magic of laughter and the value of having a sense of humour.

Kids enjoyed doing a somersault, dancing for the music, crawl through Hoola hoops, pin the nose on the clown and laughed loudly like clowns.

The little angels mesmerised all by their colourful ensembles and playfulness. The humour was infectious and kids shared it too with their parents and made the day special.

Cultural awareness and tradition play an important role in helping young children develop a positive sense of identity and build esteem

Stories passed down through generations are likely to be peppered with life lessons and explore their family. No one else could narrate stories better than our grandparents.

San invited grandparents, the celebration started with the prayer and kids were allowed to express their feelings about their family. The grandparents rendered a heart touching speech about an understanding of family help children to be confident in their identity. Also, revive and rekindle the importance of love and affection among the members of a family. The day created a special emotional feeling in the kids about their family.

Show and tell activity strengthens the verbal skills and foster public speaking competency of the young minds.

Kids brought the charts, posters and crafts pertaining to the theme. They were excited to share their descriptive narration. This event helps our tiny tots to build their social, emotional and language skills.

TThe inspiring presentation of the topic by kids left no stone unturned to achieve a realistic appraisal of their skills.

It was an interesting and thrilling experience for the kids sharing their feeling with a peer which provided a fun and comfortable learning arena for everyone involved.

A baby in the womb lives to the rhythm of the mother's heartbeat, Hears and feels the sound and emotion of the mother's voice.

As they grow, Kids recognise and respond to songs with movement, using toys to shake, rattle and bang.

Nursery kids celebrated the boogie-woogie day by creating their choreography to the music. They enjoyed stretching their body, expressed their feelings of happiness around the class.

Through dance, kids develop spatial awareness, become less clumsy and pay more attention to their peers by sharing space.

Jr. Kg -Postman Day-09.07.2019

The recent times, when e-mails and SMS have replaced the conventional system of letters and postcards, Jr. Kg kids of San Academy took an effort to enliven this medium of interpersonal communication.

The tiny tots were engaged in designing a lovely greeting to their parents with cute drawings and posted using handmadepost box.

On this special day, kids learnt the significance of Indian post and stamps. Our little ones were thrilled on making their colourful envelope. Few kids were dressed up in the postman attire made the day more valuable.

Then day reconnected the future generation to the living heritage the Indian Postal System and indeed was a great step to revive the fallen glory of the postal department.

Senses- form a link between the brain and the outside world. The 5 senses - sight, smell, sound, taste and touch. Each one of theme is really important in our everyday life.

TKeeping with the theme “My Body”Sense booth day was celebrated. The classroom was converted into booths for one particular Sense, touch, smell, taste, sound, sight.Kids moved from one booth to another to experience different senses. The planned activities such as tasting the salt, sugarwater, view through a kaleidoscope,the tunes of different musical instrument,Fragrance of flowers, touch tablets excited the curiosity of the young one.

Teachers demonstrated a variety of hands-on activities for the children, made the day a memorable one.

San Academy provides this opportunity right from kindergarten. It is a wonderful introduction to public speaking.

Field trip is a great way to enjoy a unique learning experience outside a classroom environment. Field trip is not only good fun, they allow students to absorb, interact and immerse themselves in a practical way.

The ongoing theme “Veggie View” made the kids of junior kindergarten visit the vegetable market. They were mesmerized as they experienced the nature’s bounty and identified some exotic fruits and vegetables.

In order to inculcate healthy eating habits and good table manners, kids enjoyed the balanced snacks in their classrooms. Our tiny tots experienced the importance of balanced meal as it is necessary for the wholesome growth of an individual. They also understood the concept of sustainable food production and to understand the difference between fresh food and highly processed food.

Libraries can play a strong role in early learning for all children, with the key role being in the development of early literacy skills. These include the Cognitive Development of the brain and its responsiveness to the environment, language development, listening and oral skills.

Our cute little kids enjoyed the kid’s section in Anna Centenary Library. They picked their favourite story books and sat under the decorated banyan tree. They were fascinated by the cute small story picture books. The day encouraged our kid to emerge to become a successful reader and writer.

“We need not be afraid of the future, for the future will be in our own hands”.

Very true the future of India’s destiny lies in these tender small hands and hearts of our little cute kids.

The celebration began with parade of Sr. Kg kids. They show cased India’s tricolour in them carried few slogan’s such as “Save water”, “No plastics” also slogans for creating a patriotism essence. It was a proud moment to watch them. The chief guest Our Principal hoisted the national flag.

The nursery and Jr.kg kids came in dressed like different freedom fighters like Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Rani of Jhansi, V.O. Chidambaram, Bharathiyar. Rendered few of their quotes.

It was followed by a patriotic song. Sr. Kg kids sang Hindi and Tamil patriotic song. This spread the essence of patriotism around the campus. They delivered speech on the social problems faced by the nation and measures to be taken to eradicate.

The mesmerizing dance was the highlight of the celebration. They were wrapped in the tricolour dress. Children were engaged in the craft activities in their classes related to Independence Day tricolour wheel, kite and decorated the flag.

The children’s enthusiasm and energy reinforced the belief that even though our nation is very diverse. With many religions language and culture, everyone comes together as a nation and experiences a common feeling of patriotism on Independence Day

Every culture has its own history, celebrations and art forms; puppetry is a common connection among all of them. The heart and soul of puppetry is a magnificent tradition which welcomes everyone, transcends languages and customs

San Academy nursery kids witnessed the spectacular puppet show on the story “The little red hen”. They enjoyed seeing the puppets moving and talking. Teachers used various kinds of puppets such as sock puppets, stick puppets, cloth puppets using their creativity with recycled materials like colour paper, ice cream sticks, gloves and velvet cloth.

This show was a fun-filled for tiny tots as it aroused the thinking, creativity, imagination, craftsmanship and artfulness.

Sr.kg kids enjoyed presenting their show and tell topic in front of their peers show and tell encourages our tiny tots to work collaboratively with their parents as they prepare models and charts.

Stories, hand-eye coordination, letter formation and writing simple sentences activities are gained through this.

The kids enjoyed their theme around the world in 30 days. Kids dressed in different states of India rendered the state facts and customs pertaining to the particular state. It was a pleasant sight showing that India is unity in diversity

Kindergarten-Krishna Jayanthi-22.08.2019

Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the name of cute little Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm all over the India.

San kids celebrated the Janmashtami in their campus. Everywhere the divine Radha and Krishna dressed tiny tots filled the campus. It was splendid and colourful sight. Nursery kids Krishna’s and Radha’s stole our heart with their ramp walk in the corridor illuminated the campus and recited slogans and bhajans.

Jr. Kg kids performed spectacular dance which brought gokulam in our eyes. The cute Radha’s dancing around Krishna made the campus with devotional fervour.

The Sr.Kg kids followed the same tradition with a little change the earthen pot was filled with flowers and coloured water. They enjoyed this fun activity as it teaches team work, unity, coordination in order to achieve our goal.

Kids also played few other fun filled games such as playing peacock feathers (handmade) on their crown, hide and seek game, treasure hunt, tail for cow and clay art work.

Ganesh Chaturthi, a livelist band vibrant festival celebrates the birthday of lord Ganesha. The San campus was decorated with beautiful handmade flowers, art and craft work of kids. The festive enthusiasm filled the air.

The celebration began with Ganesha slogans by Sr. Kg kids. It was followed by the melodious bhajans by nursery and Jr.kg kids.

The mythological characters and devotional music were staged by Jr. Kg. The divine dress up lord Shiva, goddess Parvathi, Lord Ganesha And lord Murugan was heavenly sight for the eyes

The dance of Sr.kg kids enthralled the audience. Enaction of lord Ganesha, how he got elephant was performed by Sr.kg kids. The god of wisdom story was thoroughly enjoyed.

The vigorous chants “Ganapati Bappa Morya” reached the sky to concluded the celebration

09.09.2019-Onam Celebration-Kindergarten

The wish granted by lord Vishnu to king Mahabali was to see his people once every year and San Academy ensured that the sight, he saw this year was grand one indeed!

The kudo’s observed the special day in their own distinctive style. The legend of onam was enacted by our little kids. King Mahabali and Vamanan was treat to the eyes.

The lovely boat race and delightful dance was a mesmerizing performance. Our kids decorated pookalam with fresh flower petals and grass; diyas were lit and placed on the pookalam, giving an almost spiritual ambience to the occasion.

16.09.2019-Splash Pool Day-Nursery

Water play provides hours of rich and valuable early childhood experiences to develop children’s creativity and imagination

With just a little bit of water and lot of fun our tiny tots celebrated the splash day. The kids came with a change over dress and cover ups in eager anticipation of the day. They enjoyed the interactive bubble show in their classroom.

The day’s activities featured the small pools filled with water and toys for pouring, splashing and squirting. The ball pools with little water and lot of balls, ice discovery tables, under the sea tables, wet sponge block building, wet foam picture crafts and toys around the play yard.

In keeping with San Academy effort to conserve water, all splashing activities took place in the field so that the water would benefit the grass.

The kids were all thrilled to play and run around the field. The day was definitely a splashing success!

17.09.2019-Milk the cow day-Jr.Kg

Traditionally milk has always been a favourite part of diet all over India. “Cow” -The universal symbol of motherhood.

Cow has been treated as auspicious, a symbol of compassion and piousness. They benefit the human and the environment in many ways. To imbibe the young minds, San Academy conducted the Gomatha day.

The benefits of cow milk and its products were elaborated by the teachers. The medicinal value was shown through audio visual.

There were various activities such as sorting the dairy products from the different food picture cards and they enjoyed making a collage. They also prepared different flavours of milk shake.

Kids learnt that cows are called as Gomatha and it is a very useful animal and should be respected.

18.09.2019-Traditional Sports day-Sr.Kg

A sport is a great connector across countries, ages and even across socio economic status too. Playing traditional games as a family brings the family closer and the bond stronger. Children need unstructured playtime and introducing conventional games can be great bonding activity.

San Academy little kudos enjoyed the day by playing various traditional games such as palanguzhi, stones, hop scotch, khokho, kabaddi, oranges and lemon. As these games don’t require expensive prop to play or any other accessories, all that is required is people to play with and space to play in.

These games have encouraged the kids to do team work, social interaction and boost their eye-hand coordination. By playing these games, kids can connect with their culture and heritage.

These games stimulate their growth physically as well as intellectually. They also help them to make more friends to play. Kids enjoyed the day with loads of fun.

23.09.2019-Show and tell -Water Animals-Nursery

Show and tell activities are an important exercise for our nursery kids as they develop their oral presentation enhances their social skills and Self-Confidence

The tiny tots brought their theme related charts, models to share their own little world for a minute or two.

As these activities are fun time to practice public speaking and sharing.

25.09.2019- Show and tell- Fitness Fun-Sr. Kg

Show and tell is a time for students to share things either by bringing in objects or photographs to show to their classmates.

The theme for the month was a unique opportunity, where kids brought their favourite sports objects and explained the benefits and rules of the game.

The topic had an effective combining of their academic and fitness skills in the young minds.

26.09.2019-Navratri Celebration-Kindergarten

Navratri was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement by San kudos.The dress code for the day ‘Ethnic” brought out the vibrancy of colours and traditional attires in the campus

The celebration started with melodious song by our Sr. kg kids seeking the blessings of goddess Durga made the beginning devotional.

The slogans and bhajans of Jr. Kg kids were mesmerizing and tunes were pleasant to the ears. The divine dress up of the kids as Gods and Goddess brought the heaven in the campus

The high energy level Mahishasura Mardini dance performance added more zest in the celebration. The kudos took on shades of ferocity as they depicted the goddess Durga’s triumph over the evil. The Navdurga girls’ performance totally brought goose bumps to the audience.

The live Gollu concept was the unmatched program where all the Kg kids stood in the Gollu as God and Goddess, saints, birds and animals. The lovely cute living dolls could never match any dolls in the world. The day was filled with the true spirit of the festival spreading happiness to all.

14/10/19-Zoo Animal party day-Nursery

Many kids love to keep pet animals and enjoy spending time with them. San academy wanted the kudos to respect all animals from the tiniest worm to the biggest whales in the sea and how to keep them safe.

The nursery kids enjoyed seeing the classroom set up as a jungle. The different soft toy animals were arranged. Kids picked each animal and placed them in their respective tables. Few of the animals missed their tails. Our cute little ones picked the exact tail of each animal and nailed it to them. The activity was pretty cool and also helped them to move around with their friends.

They also enjoyed placing their favourite animal’s headgears on their head and made the corresponding sounds. There was a huge roar of laughter and fun filled the entire classroom.

The teachers told the kids to respect every creature in the world. It is an essential part of personal, social and emotional development.

18/10/19-Animal needs day-Sr. Kg

Without plants and animals, our lives would not be possible. Air, water, shelter and food is necessary for every living thing

Every living creature has their own inherent value, their own reasons for existing. To acknowledge, appreciating the wild life, our San kudos celebrated animal needs day.

One of the most important things that wildlife needs to survive is the right habitat. The kids enjoyed creating forest with trees by sticking leaves as it is habitat for animals and making water bodies too. They loved placing the toy animals to their appropriate habitat

They collected the rain drops and filled the river, lakes and ponds. To emphasize all animals need fresh water to drink. Kids enjoyed sowing seeds, as it reconnects with nature. Trees give us the substance of life the pure air to breathe, not only for humans but also for our wild life.

Food sources are a critical component of wildlife habitat. Our kids segregated the well life according to their food habits herbivore, carnivore and omnivore.

Animals have a sense of love, loyalty, friendship as well as many other emotions. Kids learnt it is necessary to protect wildlife

Since animals need not require our permission to live on earth they were given the right to be here.

21/10/19-Animal Shelter Day-Nursery

The environment in which an animal lives should be provided with water, food, shelter. Its home must also make the animal feel protected from predators and other threats

Animal homes come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be found from the deepest depths of the ocean to the very top of a mountain.

The teacher explained the wild animal and domestic animals. The classroom had a variety of habitat of animals in every corner. There was a tree set up, water, farm, home, den and nest

Kids enjoyed placing the toy animals in their homes such as fish in water, tiger in den, monkeys on trees and birds on the nest. They also learnt it is necessary for the animals to live in their habitat to have a safe living.

Kids also observed a few homes in the school backyard, nest in a tree, spider web on bushes and a raccoon hole in the tree trunks.

Kids learn that the natural environment is one of the best places for an animal to survive.

22/10/19-Let’s go fishing -Jr. Kg

Animals naturally fascinate kindergartners. Fishes are relatively easy animals to care, for they provide an excellent opportunity on first hand observations. Fishing is the type of sport that requires commitment and concentration.

Our Jr.kg kids as part of their special day involved in fishing. They enjoyed catching the fish using magnetic rods. They learn patience waiting eagerly as the fishing rod hooked gets stuck in the magnetic fish. It encourages empowerment and confidence they are exposed to the beauty of nature and they learn to respect nature.

Kids love science, a simple sink or float activity is a great beginner science experiment. Our cute little kids enjoyed this experiment with dropping many objects in the water such as stones, dried leaves, feathers, paper boats. They observed that buoyant objects float and dense objects sink.

The next activity for the day included placing the sea animals on the blue chart representing water. Kid enjoyed performing with fun, and watched and learnt that the sea is the home of many creatures.

23/10/19-Save Animals Day-Sr. Kg

Wild life is a precious gift from God to this planet. To maintain a healthy ecological balance on the land, animals, plants and marine species are important to humans. Every organism on this earth has a unique place. But today many animals and birds are endangered.

The young generation can only find a better solution. Our san kids celebrated “Save animals” Day. Forest, animal’s natural habitat is destroyed for land development. Our kids created a forest setup with a lot of trees.

They enjoyed planting trees, placing lots of toy animals in the forest set up.

Hunting of animals is an important factor contributing to the extinction of wildlife. Kids enacted the feelings of animals as they are shot by hunters. It was a heart touching act.

The various products and by products derived from animals were displayed. Its benefits were elaborated to the kids.

Kids dressed up like animals holding the slogans to save and conserve were showcased. The day ended with a strong message for wildlife conservation.

25/10/19-Diwali celebration-Kindergarten

The celebration of Diwali the festival of lights came alive at San Academy, when the whole school wore a festive look in their ethnic costume. The reception and the corridors of the school were decorated with diyas and lanterns.

The celebration started with melodious school prayer. The pleasing tunes of Sr.kg kids’ song filled the audience heart with happiness and cheers. The cute dance of the nursery illuminated the campus showing light brings life and thus making it more beautiful to live in the universe.

The Jr.kg kids spoke on the importance of eco-friendly Diwali which made our minds brighten as they highlighted that breaking of crackers, the air pollution level rises, plastic packaging debris on the roads also due to sound elderly people and animals suffer.

The reason to celebrate Diwali was enacted by our Sr.kg kudos. Prince Ram, Lakshman and Sita were welcomed back to their kingdom Ayodhya after Ram put an end to the evil force of Ravan was showcased on the stage.

Principal Mrs.Sujatha Saravanan's presence really lit a festive mood as she gave a message that true Diwali spirit means sharing things with everyone and green Diwali with smokeless, noiseless and pollution less crackers. Thus, everyone went home carrying this message.

7. 29/10/19-Water World day-Jr. Kg

World water day is a great day to teach kids about the importance of water, often we have water for granted, so it’s crucial to teach them to appreciate how lucky they are to have clean, safe water.

Being part of the special day kid came in the blue attire to the school. To observe and encourage people how water impacts the lives of others, kids gave a speech on how water is useful, why it is important and issues on water. It opened the awareness and need of water..

Kids also enjoyed experimenting with water. They explored what objects get dissolved in the water and what not, as part of their curriculum. They loved to see sugar, salt getting dissolved whereas stones, oil, stay as it is.

Kids enjoyed messing up with water and playing and also learnt they must not waste water.

14/11/2019-Children’s Day-Kindergarten

"The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country". These immortal words of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru remind us of the importance of giving our children a nurturing and secure childhood. It is in memory of the great freedom fighter that his birthday is celebrated as Children's day.

San Academy celebrated the joy of childhood by organizing fulfilled surprises. The corridor was decorated with cartoon characters, which kids were thrilled to see and attracted a lot of attention.

The programme started with a "magic show" performed by professional children went berserk watching various tricks and were glued during the performance and the campus was filled with gleaming sounds of the little ones.

The teachers entertained the kudos with their performance a melodious song and foot-tapping dance performance. Fulfilled and interesting games, such as dumb charades. Musical chair, dance and freeze, action rhymes made the kids thoroughly delighted and enjoyed the show to the fullest.

The historical angle of how and why children’s day came into existence and the spirit of cha-cha Nehru’s love for children was reiterated to them by the teachers.

Teachers drew a tattoo on the kids’ hand, their joys no bounds when they saw glittering tattoos. The entire day was full of fun and frolic. The kids and the teachers had a memorable day. The day ended with a principal inspiring speech, as it urged the children to spread the joy and happiness amongst the less privileged children in their neighbourhood by sharing and caring.

20/11/2019-Field trip to Guindy snake park-Sr.kg

Field trips are a regular part of many programs for young children. Field trips can serve a variety of purposes, such as exposing children to new things or helping children to see familiar things in new ways.

Sr.kg went to snake park they saw different types of the snake as part of their theme reptile. The teacher explained about their habitat, food habits.

They also watched crocodiles and turtles. They love to see the eating habit of a crocodile. Kids also learnt that crocodile share food among themselves..

Kids enjoyed watching tortoise walking and had great fun and also learnt “Slow and study win the race" from the cute little tortoise. The day ended with kids singing their rhymes all the snakes are slithering.

21/11/2019-Field trip to Guindy park-Jr.kg

Field trips play an indispensable role in the educational system. They help the educational system. They help the kids learning outside the classroom, giving a new perspective and boost cognitive development.

Jr. Kg kids went on a field trip to the Guindy national park. They were excited and filled with energy from the time they boarded the bus. Kids saw different types of birds and animal. It was quite evident to see kids applying what they learnt in the class by naming the different birds and animals that they saw in the park with such fascination

Kids saw a show where they learnt about the birds, animals and insects found in the forest. An exclusive informative session was arranged by the park authorities which was helpful for the children in understanding the bird’s characteristic.

22/11/2019-Intra competition-Clay Modelling-Nursery

Colourful clay or play dough is an attraction for children. A piece of clay will increase the temptation of kids to create a masterpiece with it.

The cute nursery kids enjoyed the clay modelling activity and made adorable clay models. This, in turn, helped them tickle their creativity and intelligence. It also aided them to increase concentration, hand-eye coordination and attention span of kids.

Life is one big fancy dress party children love to portray their favourite characters or something that has impressed them. San arranged a platform for Jr. Kg kids a fancy-dress competition.

It was overwhelming to see our little one dressed up in different types of fruits and speak confidently on the fruit. They also spoke about eating healthy fruits makes the body fit and strong.

It also unleashed the creativity of parents and aided our tiny tot in building up their self-confidence and expelling stage gear.

22/11/2019- Intra competition -Tangram -Sr. Kg

Tangram is fun for children of all ages. The puzzle is completed by moving and rotating the seven shapes Sr. Kg kids participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and exhibited their knowledge in arranging them into different figures connected to the world around them

The event provided a platform for the budding kudos to express their creativity and gain confidence. Also, it is a fun way to develop problem-solving, visual-spatial awareness and logical thinking. Kids enjoyed making beautiful pictures..

With the advent of technology and online shopping, the concept of going to shop seems to be slowly declining.” Shopping spree” at San gave the sense of buying and selling

Nursery classroom was set up like a grand supermarket. Each corner of the classroom was set up into different stalls such as fruits, vegetables, stationeries. toys. The teachers decorated their table as cash counter with fake currency.

Kids enjoyed picking their favourite items in the basket with the help of teachers and loved paying cash. The day was spent with great zest, enthusiasm and vigour. The teachers explained the need to respect the dignity of labour.

26.09.2019-Navratri Celebration-Kindergarten

Navratri was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement by San kudos.The dress code for the day ‘Ethnic” brought out the vibrancy of colours and traditional attires in the campus

The celebration started with melodious song by our Sr. kg kids seeking the blessings of goddess Durga made the beginning devotional.

The slogans and bhajans of Jr. Kg kids were mesmerizing and tunes were pleasant to the ears. The divine dress up of the kids as Gods and Goddess brought the heaven in the campus

The high energy level Mahishasura Mardini dance performance added more zest in the celebration. The kudos took on shades of ferocity as they depicted the goddess Durga’s triumph over the evil. The Navdurga girls’ performance totally brought goose bumps to the audience.

The live Gollu concept was the unmatched program where all the Kg kids stood in the Gollu as God and Goddess, saints, birds and animals. The lovely cute living dolls could never match any dolls in the world. The day was filled with the true spirit of the festival spreading happiness to all.

Kindergarten -Ganesh Chathurthi-30.08.2019

Ganesh Chaturthi, a livelist band vibrant festival celebrates the birthday of lord Ganesha. The San campus was decorated with beautiful handmade flowers, art and craft work of kids. The festive enthusiasm filled the air.

The celebration began with Ganesha slogans by Sr. Kg kids. It was followed by the melodious bhajans by nursery and Jr.kg kids.

The mythological characters and devotional music were staged by Jr. Kg. The divine dress up lord Shiva, goddess Parvathi, Lord Ganesha And lord Murugan was heavenly sight for the eyes

The dance of Sr.kg kids enthralled the audience. Enaction of lord Ganesha, how he got elephant was performed by Sr.kg kids. The god of wisdom story was thoroughly enjoyed.

The vigorous chants “Ganapati Bappa Morya” reached the sky to concluded the celebration

09.12.2019 - San Express Day-Nursery

Road safety rules in very important. It is of a paramount requirement that children learn formal road safety education. San Academy always plays an important role in shaping tiny tots, Nursery kudos celebrated their special day and equipped themselves with basic road safety knowledge.

Teachers demonstrated the do and don'ts on the road such as following traffic signals, walking on a zebra crossing and the importance of parking lot. Roleplay by teachers gave hands-on experience on the usage of mobile phones while driving and leading to accidents.

The school drivers and attendees introduced themselves. They spoke the safety in the school van such as not do drink or eat in moving vehicle, not to wave hands outside the window and always be seated.

They also practised cycling; kids enjoyed watching them. The day ended with road safety rhymes by kids.

Show and tell is the greatest activity that young minds can engage in building confidence and speaking skills.

Sr. Kg kids celebrated the day with vigour and enthusiastically. The theme for the month Micro to Macro flowers and fruits, kids rendered the topic on rare, exotic flowers and fruits. They loved exploring the unknown facts and presented the audience. The models and charts were so lively, the kids loved to take a bit of the fruit. The day ended with a load of information and knowledge of fruits and flowers.

18.12.2019-Christmas-Kindergarten

Christmas is a time to give and forgive, celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, San too celebrated with loads of fun and joyous.

Kids came in the colours of red and white. The entire campus wore the festive, with beautifully decorated Christmas tree, twinkling stars and snow man. The nativity scene depicting the birth of Christ was enacted, which took the audience to Jerusalem. Christmas carols were sung and made the ambience pleasing.

Kids season is on and the festivities at fever pitch! It’s that time of the year when the sky is peppered with funky colours and vivid designs

Tiny tots love flying kites. What could be more fun than getting outside to make a colourful (kite dance in the breeze)

San nursery kudos loved the challenge and watch the thrill of getting the kite up and into the air nursery teachers and kids started flying the kites up in the air. They enjoyed and had lots of fun running around trying to catch them.

The kite flying helps to develop hand-eye coordination, kinesthetic awareness and gross motor skills.

Teachers described the movement about the kite using terms such as up and down, front and behind, high and low, fast and slowly, surely the terms were an aid in their language development

Changing seasons offers a great time for kids to explore and learn. As they see the changes around them, they are naturally primed to know more about the world around them

Sr.kg kids welcome the special day with colourful attire the girls had a beautiful garland in their hands and to add the beauty the boy had vividly designed kites.

The blooming flower dance by the girls created the light-hearted joy of the spring season. The dance movement as flowers emerging from the ground swaying in the wind and opening their faces to the sun was mesmerizing performance.

Boys walked on the stage with costumes oh honey bee, birds, ladybugs; butterflies stole the hearts of the audience. The day ended with kids singing “all the flower” rhymes.

10.01.2020-The magical season-Jr.kg

Can you believe that spring is just around the corner? We are more than ready for warmer weather and all the fascinating change that mother nature brings along with it. Our kids celebrated the magical season with lots of fun and activities.

Jr.kg kids came dressed in rainbow colours to experience a magical season. They enjoyed walking along with their teachers in school campus exploring the lovely flowers, bugs and insect. They sang the rhyme “out in the garden “to add beauty to their special day.

13.01.2020-Pongal-Kindergarten

Pongal is a thanksgiving festival widely celebrated in Tamilnadu. People express their gratitude to the sun, soil, water and oxen. San kudos traditionally celebrated the festival. The classrooms, reception and corridor were adorned with flowers, thoranam, sugarcane stacked to grace the occasion

The day started with a Tamil speech about Pongal by the teacher. Jr.kg kids rendered the significance of the various Pongal days. Pongal themed Tamil song was beautifully sung by the sr.kg, which filled the campus with a melodious tune

The jr.kg kids stole the heart of the audience with dress up that replete with art forms like karagam, oyilattam and Silambam sr.kg kids danced gracefully for a kummiadi song around the Pongal pot to add the beauty of the celebration, jr.kg and nursery kids dance performance was breathtaking for the spectators.

Surprising bullock cart ride inside the school premises was absolute enjoyment for the tiny tots. The chanting of pongalo! Pongal; pongalo Pongal: filled the air with festivity and joy. The traditional fun games were the highlights of the day.

The celebration ended with our principal speech. She addressed our tiny tots and evoked the spirit of the festival also to imbibe, adhere and uphold the traditional values of the state.

23.01.2020 - Republic Day-Kindergarten

Twenty-sixth January holds an everlasting place in our national memory because it is the day when modern India was born. San kudos celebrated the day with immense pride and grandeur in school. Kids came in colours of the national flag

The day started with a mini-parade by sr.kg kids. The significance of the day was explained by cute sr.kg 'B'. Nursery kudos brought the stage alive with their passion and love for national leaders through their cute inspiring speech.

The school campus reverberated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm with sr.kg Hindi song. The melodious music was spell bounding. The incredible display of traditional wear of different India states by sr.kg kid’s ramp walk filled the crowd with great energy and enthusiasm. It aroused the feelings of unity in diversity and can be seen only in our nation.

It was a delight to see the jr.kg kids dress up as their favourite Indian leaders and spoke few lines about the leaders the lovely shining sword of Jhansi rani and iconic hat of Bhagat Singh was a glimpse to the eyes of the 0audience. The day ended with kids singing the national anthem.

Show and tell is one of the simplest activities that young kids can engage in, where the performer faces the rest of the class with a particular item and proceed to show.

Sr. Kg kids celebrated their day with great vigour. They brought things related to the season and spoke on the topic, such as precautions to be taken, clothing and food items.

Kids had loads of confidence and expressed with modulation. The day ended with rhymes such as “I am a little snowman”, “ there was a day it was hot”.

04.02.2020- Jr. Kg -Indra Terrace Garden

To give a hands-on experience related to theme “plants”, to little cute Jr. Kg kids were taken to a nearby garden

Kids enjoyed watching different types of plants, touched the leaves to feel the texture, the lovely swaying flowers in the breeze made the kids spellbound. The visit inculcated the love for the environment and to relish the beauty of nature.

Teachers explained the range of plants with their botanical names. The little learners explored a variety of shrubs, cactus, creepers, herbs, and flowers. Kids interacted with Gardner and learnt the natural manures are good for the plant growth. The kudos were curious to see the varying pot shapes. This field trip sensitized the kudo towards caring to nature is very important ,the fruits and vegetables are always good for health. All of them carried a sapling as taking away from the garden.

05.02.2020-Sr. Kg-Birla Planetarium

The field trip to Birla Planetarium by Sr. Kg kids was indeed a flight through the universe.

Kids enjoyed to by watching a 3D view of the things that they had just imagined to be huge luminous objects somewhere out there in the vast space of the universe..

The kudos were enlightened to know that one’s weight on the moon and other planets.It was so fun. The curious learners watched the movie on mars. As the light dimmed and the journey through the stars began, the excitement among the students was overwhelming. The skies came alive on the massive dome theatre. The show was so good and kids started to catch the stars and rocket. The audio made the kids feel as they were travelling to space. The kids quenched their curiosity about the celestial phenomena.

07.02.2020-Nursery-Visit a Pet Shop

Pets are a great companion for young and old. They are like family members who fulfil our need for affection and attention.

Nursery cuties visited a pet shop a part of their field trip. They were amused to see various animals. Teachers briefed the kudos about each animal, their food habits, sound and names of their young ones.

The pet shop caretaker added every pet tends to be constantly taken care and show empathy towards them. The field trip served as showing love to all animals is important and it should be imbibed to kids at an early age.

10.02.2020-Nursery-Health is Wealth

A healthy mind and healthy body will develop healthy thoughts, there is no greater wealth than this, keeping this in mind, san academy has unique teaching methodology to imbibe the kudos to have a healthy body and healthy mind

Good food collage activity was carried out. The kudos were given different pictures of food, they segregated the healthy and junk with the help of the teachers.

“Fill my plate” activity was so fun-filled, where kids picked their favourite food puzzle and placed them in their plate. Teachers, in turn, explained the importance of each fruit and vegetable and to consume a balanced diet. Kudo's greens and sprouts.

Teachers enacted a story which showcased how a child remains inactive due to junk food, whereas a child eating healthy food stay active.

Kids were shown a video about keeping oneself hygiene, consuming healthy food, yoga and exercises.

It was explained to them, these make a person wealthy throughout their life.

11.02.2020-Jr. Kg-Busy Bee Day

Kids tend to think of bees as bugs that sting and fear when they are playing outdoors. Learning about bees can be filled with exploration. Jr.kg kids celebrated busy bee clay with fun and frolic.

The day started with a mini-parade by sr.kg kids. The Little tiny tots created a honeycomb and painted, they learnt the shape. They also made cute honey bees with paper and placed in the honeycomb. Each kid had a turn to fly their honey bee and placed it on the comb. Teachers explained the kudos each honey bee collects nectar from many flowers, stores in the comb and it turns into honey

A spoon of honey was given to each kudo to taste, to touch and feel the texture. The health benefits of honey were presented to kids as AV shows.

The pollination science was also explained as kids with bees in their hands pretend to fly on flowers collect and disperse pollen from plant to plant. They too start mimicking the sound of bees.

The celebration ended with bumblebee rhymes and songs. It was a great day for them and as part of the celebration, every kid brought a snack with honey. This added beauty to the special day.

17.02.2020-Nursery-San Chef Day

“cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking. It is about harnessing, imagination, empowerment and creativity”.

The kids started the day by wearing a beautiful apron and chef's hat. They picked up the veggies and fruits from the basket, involved in washing, peeling and cutting with baby scissors, knife and peelers. Teachers helped the kudos, in cutting veggies, they wanted the veggies in their favourite shapes diamond and heart. The kudos were involved salad, dripping the honey and serving in a bowl.

The little ones enjoyed preparing the sandwich every kid took turns to spread cheese, butter and fill veggies on the bread.

They also prepared fresh juice and served in the glass. At the end of the pride in accomplishing the preparation. Every kid was given a bit of a sandwich and juice. They enjoyed and described the taste and how it made them feel. This made them build their vocabulary and exposing them to these actives the kudo's fine and motors skills were enhanced with a tear, stir and poor.

The smile on their faces and enthusiastic talks about their cooking was priceless. The message about eating healthy became long-lasting.

18.02.2020-Jr. Kg-The Hungry Caterpillar day

Puppets can be an engaging and useful way to help tiny tots develop emotionally and grow their language and communication skill. teacher incorporated puppets in the special day to narrate the evergreen story” The hungry caterpillar”.

The teachers unfolded the story. The creative puppets caterpillar, a butterfly was alluring. Teachers engrossed the kudos with voice modulation in narrating the story

The little caterpillar was very hungry and started to search and eat different items. On each day starting from Sunday. The kids predicted the next day and enjoyed the repetition in the story. It made them feel brilliant and build excitement through anticipation.

Kudos had several educational themes at the end of the day, such as numbers, counting, identifying different foods and the days of the week. They also had a wide knowledge of different life stages of the butterfly.

The little tiny tots learnt the art of narrating a story effectively. The squeals and the laughter of the kids was the part of the joy and fun they experienced during the show.

21.02.2020-Sr. Kg-International Language Day

Our languages are a deep part of our cultural identity and a rich source of stories, proverbs and sayings San Academy always has been reflecting on why we need to respect our mother tongue and the languages around us.

Sr. Kg kids celebrated the diversity in languages. Kudos recited and enjoyed singing French rhyme ”Frere Jacques”, Japanese” Kira Kira” and Spanish “Itsy Bitsy”

Teachers enacted how language was born such as earlier we used sign language, sounds and then words.

Enthralling dress up of kids in the traditional attire of China, Srilanka, France, Italy, Spain and Kenya were admirable. Kudo's welcomed the audience with the respective countries language. Each class took a turn to say "I Love You Mother and Father" in German, Czech, Hungarian and Korean

The day ended as everyone has to respect all languages in the world. They were amazed to know that 6000 languages are currently spoken.

Rhymes offer oral support to children and aid in their development of hearing awareness. They are part of the kid's preliteracy skills and cognitive development.

28.02.2020-National Science Day-Sr. Kg

Science builds our knowledge and understanding of the world and allows us to create new technology with innovation.

Sr. Kg kids with their teachers performed various experiments. It perfectly complemented our kudo's natural curiosity. The air pressure making the ball float made the kids feel they were watching a magic show. The floating egg in the freshwater and sinking egg in the saltwater enhanced their critical thinking as saltwater is denser. The water walk experiment paved the platform on how the plants survive and the necessity of underground water. The colours travelled from each container to the tissue placed on the top

The day proved to be the fun filling knowledge can be through experiments and investigations.

Nothing helps children learn more about all4 seasons than actually experiencing each one as the year goes by. Taking walks outside and observing the changes that happen over time are the best memories.

The 4 seasons came alive in the nursery classroom. Every 4 corners were arranged as summer, winter, rainy and fall. Kids were given clothing, where they sorted as per the season running here and there. They loved placing different food also as per the season such as watermelon in summer table, soups during rainy.

They also prepared the weather card with the teacher and displayed in each of the respective seasons. Kids enjoyed cleaning the autumn leaves in the fallen corner. They also danced with umbrellas on the rainy corner. Beach suits and sandcastle were displaying the summer season with apt .Kudo involved in making the snowman by sticking cotton on it.

The day ended with a beautiful rhyme

11.03.2020-Spin a tale-Sr. Kg

Mermaids, fairies, magic and talking animals are what come to mind when thinking of fairy tales. These tales are so much fascinating to kids, also teach them values, kindness and endurance, the bandit is one of the best tools for intricate learning.

Storytelling isn't easy. It takes effort, time, practice and courage to begin. Our San Kudos learn from nursery and at the end of the Sr. Kg, they proudly exhibited their storytelling to the audience.

They enacted the little red hen story, with lovely voice modulation, they mimic the sounds of hen, cat, dog, rat. They narrated with lots of expressions and brought the scene alive. Everyone took turns and waited to deliver their part in the story.

This session developed kids sense of imagination, reading skills and communication skills.

The next batch of kudos used story flashcards to narrate the gingerbread man.

Every kid was given a chance to prepare a gingerbread man with dough and loved decorating it.

The catchy tune

“Catch me if you can, I am the gingerbread man”! Made the audience repeat along with the narrator.

The day proved to be fulfilled and excited.

12.03.2020- Multi-Vitamin Day

Kids are smart! Teaching them what healthy food can do for them is an inspiring way to get them excited about eating good food.

The day was a great start, for kids to know why vitamins are essential at an early age.

Teachers explained the different vitamins and the foods which are rich in that, also the deficiency these vitamins might lead to various illness.

Kids loved to pick the healthy and favourite fruit (plastic one) in their paper plate and placed them in a healthy corner. Also, they picked the junk food and placed it unhealthy corner.

A table was set with vitamin chart where the kudo placed the fruit and vegetable in the respective vitamins.

During their snacks time, each kid was able to recollect the vitamin and relate it to their food. The day’s impact was vital in the minds of kudos.

13.03.2020-Holi-Kindergarten

Holi is one of the major festivals of India and is the most vibrant fall. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that the very mention of the word "Holi" draws smile and enthusiasm amongst the people. San Academy celebrated this festival with a lot of zeal.

Nursery kudos enjoyed playing with coloured waters using a water gun. They loved fulfilling the favourite coloured water in the gun with the help of teachers.

Jr. Kg kid loved making an impression with the palm of different colour on the pre-drawn picture. The teacher wrote names of the kids under the palm print, which made memorable art. They also enjoyed playing various games, balancing water glasses in one hand and passing it to their friends.

The fun-filled voices reached the sky. Jr. Kg and nursery kudos watched the Sr. Kg kids running around with colours and spraying on their friends. The vibrant colours made every kudos look similar. The fun continued till the kudos reached home, as they applied colours on their parents face too.

Principal addressed the tiny tots and expressed that Holi is the day of love and colours and also implored kids to play safe Holi by avoiding artificial colours.

14.03.2020-Graduation Day-Sr.Kg

“What feels like the end is often a beginning”

On March 14, 2020, San Academy wore a festive look, illuminated with shining faces of kindergarten students as the school celebrated Sr.Kg graduation ceremony

The smart tiny tots walked the ramp adorned in traditional convocation robes and caps. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received scrolls of merit on the Dias.

The cultural programme began with the solo classical dance of the kids. It was mesmerizing the audience. The parent’s eyes were glued to the moves of our tiny tots.

It was followed by the speech as kids rendered their experience about their favourite travel destination, their hobby and their lovely cartoon character. The speakers stunned the gathering with their eloquent language.

The dance with Mom or dad by the kids was breath-taking. They danced with vibrant music and highly coordinated movements promptly set the fire on the stage.

The solo classical song by the kudos was mellifluous. The budding singers held the audience in rapt attention.

The cultural extravaganza was interspersed with the most important event the fancy dress and ramp walk with mom or dad.

The chief guest, PTA representative of all the classes expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the management, Principal and teachers in shaping the tiny tots through education and other co-curricular activities.

The Principal addressed the gathering and shared the importance of being patient and receptive with their kids. It was indeed heart-warming to see the overjoyed parent as the watched their little angels grow into butterflies ready to flit away into the sky yonder
