~ Ms.R.Archana

From Managing Director’s Desk

A community is not merely a collection of individual persons; it is a set of relationships, including the attitudes and behaviour of its members”. It is truly an honour to play a pivotal part in running this special San community, with our wonderful students, teachers, and parents. I see a group of students with magnificent potential, an institution that’s on its way to become one of India’s best, and a campus that has become a flourishing epicenter for student and community life. The future is so very bright and promising, I request you to heartily join me in structuring and designing our pathway to this wonderful vision.

San Academy, no doubt is ascending strongly and swiftly in its pursuit to attain a paramount place in the field of academic excellence. The environment of this school is a place where students come to learn, grow, and create. Our teachers astutely tap into their creative spirit and help them achieve their goals of academic excellence.

Proud to say that our school is also a flourishing hub for nurturing and promoting competence and talents in co-curricular activities with inspiring clubs, sports teams, community service opportunities & requirements and trips. The campus comes alive with their passion for such extramural activities and sessions.

I stumbled upon this amazing quote recently and realised how relevant it is for all of us: children, parents and teachers. There is never any point in the life of a person when he can sit back and say. “There is nothing more to learn, I can relax with the comforting thought that the universe around me is an open book. I know it all.”

Education is not just about the subjects that are learnt and taught in school. Becoming educated is not restricted to being in school and then in college, gathering certificates and feeling proud of oneself. It is a lifelong exercise that can be unbelievably exciting if only we wish to jump onto the train of experience and take a trip to every conceivable place on the earth. Now we know that this cannot be done literally, so how do we manage it, first in school and then as we go on through the journey of life?

First, we all have to be on the same page: children, teachers and parents have to understand that education is not restricted to lessons taught in the classroom from text books. Parents and teachers must encourage children to ask as many questions as they can. For it is in wanting to know that will result in actually getting to know.

The thirst for knowledge is not restricted to the child. It is also essential for a parent and a teacher to keep adding to their own knowledge bank by keeping their eyes and ears open and by reading as much as possible and ensuring that children develop these habits as well.

At this juncture, I humbly request parents not to understand that each child is unique and he/she has a distinct potential and skill sets. Come to imagine a hidden masterpiece inside a white canvas or a spectacular sculpture beneath a marble or a sonata in a violin waiting to be unveiled.

Not all successful intellects are doctors, engineers and barristers. Success arises when passion in a field achieves its rightful triumph. Lets strive together to help them metamorphose into righteous citizens of this community completely aware of their responsibilities towards people and the environment in which they dwell. Half of the success is delivered here.

Let’s begin by turning ourselves into exemplary examples for our children. Lets instigate them to shun plastics by doing so ourselves. Let’s imbibe in them the spirit of green revolution by sowing seeds of such ideologies in their mind and in the soil in all exuberance with them. Children sub-consciously become what they see. And I envisage them going to great zeniths with us to lead them seamlessly on that path.

So join us as we are all set to make rich achievements in the coming years marking the beginning of an all new era in the history of San Academy and its eminence.

“YOU DON’T NEED TO DO GREAT THINGS EVERYDAY, BUT YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING TOWARDS YOUR DREAM DAILY”.

~ Ms.Ganga Natarajan

From Principal’s Desk

“Chase your passion” - India is going through an interesting transition. While your parents’ generation focused on getting two square meals a day, the current generation, with stable finances and emotional backing, is more willing to take risks and explore their passions.

You’re one of those people, aren’t you?

Along with all the hard work and the anxiety of figuring the way forward, you also have to do something different to be successful!

Dear children, your parents are a bigger asset than you think. Their maturity, experience, and perspective can play a huge role in helping you achieve your passion. They will often be the only ones you can trust or fall back on when you find yourself burned out. And of course, they love you just as much as you love them. So make your parents believe in you and in your passion.

Make a passion last a lifetime. Your passion in life is what dreams are made of.

Whether you make this into a career or not, you should always try to make what you love fit into your life somehow. No passion is too big or too small. Your passion doesn’t have to be writing great American novels or painting murals on the ceilings of cathedrals. It can be anything from helping and teaching others to promoting products or making a difference in your community.

It’s important for you to give your passion a good thought. Do something that makes you happy. If you feel lost about what dream you should chase or how to chase that dream, make a list of all the things that make you happy. Then, try to find a way to combine all of those things into one dream. Not only will you be happy once you achieve that dream, but you will be happy along the way as well.

Be honest to yourself, stay grounded and prepare for hard work. Do the necessary research and speak to those in your field of interest. Keep an open mind as passions change and you might find something more suitable as you mature and experience new things.

You must understand that hard work will not always result in a win. Sometimes things just don’t work out. You might get injured before a big race or sick before that big exam you prepared for. Things like these happen and none of this is in your control. If you put all your eggs in one basket, it is immaturity. You have to give your life a thought, plan things out and have back-ups, and that is a good sign. Having a huge and far off goal can seem pretty scary, but if you set small goals to achieve a larger than life dream, it can seem so much more attainable. Don’t judge a life step based on its size, judge it on its direction. No matter how small a step it may be, you’re still closer to your passion than you were the day before.

The dream that you achieve today could be the seed that is the beginning of the dream that you have tomorrow. Everything that you do in life was once a dream that you thought you may never reach. Let those successes feed into future dreams. Don’t be afraid to expand on goals that you’ve already obtained, and let your dreams grow in to a lifetime of happiness.

Parent Teacher Association

Together May We Give Our Children the Roots to Grow and the Wings to Fly

Partnerships between parents, educators and children enhance children’s success. We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts and information and work on projects to benefit children.

PTA is an active body in San Academy, and gives us as parents, teachers and administrators an opportunity to be closely connected with child’s school experience.

Parents to make a difference in the education and quality of every child's school experience by joining the PTA as a Member for the Academic year. Your membership helps to support our school, our children, our teachers and our families. Being a PTA member is one of the best and easiest things you can do to be involved in your child's school.

Parent Teacher Association Invitation will be send at the beginning of the Academic Year. One Parent representative from each class and section can register their name as a member. The names will be confirmed on first come first served basis. The PTA meets are conducted every quarter as per the convenient date and timings of all the members and school authorities. The meetings will let everyone know the progress in the academic and non-academic arenas. The meetings also give members a chance to see where they can conveniently volunteer and contribute to their child’s school year.
